Membership requirements
The requirements for becoming part of ASCOM are:
- Individual members: at least two years accredited professional experience in undertaking compliance functions. These functions may have been exercised in different areas, such as, for example, the provision of external compliance services in the field of consulting or advising companies, or having performed these functions from another department within a company.
- Organisational members: the agreement of its administrative body, or the person who has such powers, requesting the entity's status as an associate. The organisation may designate three individuals to benefit from the advantages of being members. It may also change these three individuals as it deems appropriate (for example if these people change departments or leave the company).
Affiliates: aimed at people who do not have enough experience in compliance to become members. - Affiliates will not be able to participate in the assemblies with voice and vote or be voters and they are not eligible for the executive positions with the Association, but they are exempt from accrediting their professional experience in performing compliance functions; in addition they will receive information and may participate in those activities they are invited to participate in by the Board of Directors.
Any use of the ASCOM logo and the other elements of our corporate identity by the associate must be previously authorised by the ASCOM Board of Directors.
Annual fee
The annual membership fees for ASCOM are:
- INDIVIDUAL MEMBER: 120 €
- ORGANISATIONAL MEMBER: 900 € (*)
- AFFILIATE: 100 €
(*) In the event that an organisation wishes that more than three individuals benefit from the advantages of membership, their fee will be increased by € 120 / year for each additional person
